Key Responsibilities
You will be deployed to various construction and civil sites, where your role will be crucial to daily operations. Your key duties will include:
- Performing a wide range of skilled labouring tasks as directed by the site supervisor, adapting to the needs of each specific project.
- Operating plant machinery and equipment (if ticketed) safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on following all site procedures.
- Assisting tradespeople and site teams with general construction activities, material handling, and site preparation.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard-free work area, strictly adhering to all workplace health and safety protocols.
- Communicating clearly with supervisors and team members, reporting any issues or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
To be successful in these roles, you must be an experienced professional with the right credentials and attitude.
- A current QLD Driver’s Licence and reliable own transport are essential for getting to various site locations.
- A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) is mandatory.
- You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights.
- Demonstrated experience in the construction or civil industry, with relevant tickets for your trade or machine operation (e.g., EWP, Forklift, Dogman, VOC for machines).
- A proactive, safety-first mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial.
