Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on fostering our daughter’s growth and well-being, while ensuring our home is a calm and happy place.

  • Provide attentive, nurturing, and educational care for our 10-month-old daughter, following her daily routines and ensuring her safety and happiness at all times.
  • Plan and facilitate engaging developmental activities, such as local playgroups, Wriggle & Rhyme sessions, and swimming lessons.
  • Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for our daughter and occasionally for the family, adhering to any dietary guidelines.
  • Manage key household tasks to maintain a tidy and organized home, including the child’s laundry, tidying up play areas, and light cleaning related to the child’s care.
  • Maintain clear, daily communication with us as parents, providing updates on our daughter’s day, milestones, and any needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a caring professional who combines experience with a warm, trustworthy demeanor.

  • Proven experience as a Nanny or in a similar professional childcare role, supported by at least two verifiable references from within the last five years.
  • A patient, calm, and genuinely nurturing personality, with a deep-seated passion for supporting early childhood development.
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence, access to your own vehicle, and confidence driving with an infant passenger.
  • A current First Aid certificate, or a willing commitment to obtain one promptly upon starting.
  • Excellent reliability and the ability to manage time effectively within a home environment.
  • Availability to commence in mid-April for a four-day week, with the potential to increase to five days after an initial period.
