Key Responsibilities
You will be an essential part of the pharmacy workflow, directly supporting pharmacists and interacting with patients to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Accurately pack, label, and dispense medications in strict compliance with established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Provide clear, helpful counseling to patients on the proper use of their medications, following Good Dispensing Guidelines.
- Assist in monitoring for potential drug interactions and promptly escalate any concerns to the supervising pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory effectively, including checking expiry dates, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of all medications.
- Operate and monitor pharmacy automation systems and IT platforms to support efficient dispensing and record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional pharmacy workspace, and assist in coaching and orienting new team members.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable team player who combines technical knowledge with strong interpersonal skills.
- A relevant Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences, certification from a recognized Pharmacy Technician course, or demonstrable hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and compassionately to patients.
- A strong team-oriented attitude, good personal initiative, and exceptional attention to detail are essential for this role.
- The ability to work efficiently within a structured schedule and adapt to the varying pace of a busy healthcare environment.
