Key Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of a Custodial Supervisor, you will perform a comprehensive range of cleaning duties to maintain the facility, including:
- Sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces.
- Operating commercial floor equipment such as buffers and shampoo machines.
- Vacuuming carpets and spot-cleaning rugs in offices and public areas using a backpack vacuum.
- Detailed dusting of all furniture, fixtures, door trim, and horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
- Cleaning interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors.
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms daily, restocking all paper and soap supplies.
- Collecting building trash, replacing liners, and ensuring proper disposal.
- Performing seasonal tasks like clearing light snow from entrances and walkways.
- Monitoring and reporting any maintenance defects or issues to your supervisor.
Qualifications
No prior professional experience is required; we provide the necessary training. The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function as a cooperative team member.
- A strong attention to detail and pride in delivering excellent, consistent service.
- Good physical stamina and endurance to handle cleaning tasks and use equipment like backpack vacuums.
- Willingness to learn and properly use cleaning tools, chemicals, and machinery.
- A reliable, organized, and energetic work ethic.
