Key Responsibilities
You will be a strategic leader on the ground, responsible for elevating counter performance and operational standards. Your key duties will include:
- Leading shrink (wastage) management efforts for fresh produce categories to optimize profitability and reduce loss.
- Conducting hands-on training for counter staff on service standards, appealing product display, and handling of raw meats and fresh produce.
- Verifying product quality, SOP adherence, and equipment functionality during store visits and leading compliance checks.
- Managing the shadow P&L for counters and working directly with store teams to analyze and improve their performance.
- Contributing to special projects involving AI, digitalization, and the development of new SOPs and training materials.
- Leading the fresh produce operational setup for new store openings and renovations.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly qualified professional with a deep understanding of the fresh supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of operations, supply chain, or supplier management experience specifically within the fresh produce sector (Seafood, Meat, Fruits & Vegetables).
- Proven experience in a quality control or food safety role, preferably within a retail or wholesale environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent training and communication abilities, with the talent to influence cross-functional teams and conduct presentations.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset suited to a fast-paced retail setting.
