Key Responsibilities
In this vital workshop-based role, you will ensure our rental fleet operates with maximum reliability. Your key duties will include:
- Building, wiring, and commissioning new pumps, generators, and control systems.
- Performing diagnostics, fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of equipment.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Occasionally travelling to customer sites in the Waikato region for urgent breakdown support or on-site repairs.
- Collaborating closely with the operations and logistics teams to meet service deadlines and maintain fleet availability.
- Staying current with new technologies and systems within our evolving fleet.
Qualifications
We are looking for a practical, solutions-focused technician with a strong electrical/mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven hands-on experience in a similar technical role, such as in industrial maintenance, automotive/heavy vehicle electrical, or power generation.
- Experience with pumps and/or generators is highly advantageous.
- Solid skills in electrical diagnostics, wiring, and working with electronic engine management systems.
- A collaborative, team-focused attitude and the ability to work independently when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
Experience with telemetry systems or controllers (Kensho, Deepsea, ComAp, Macquarie) is a bonus but not essential for the right candidate.
