Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will provide essential therapeutic support within a holistic, multi-disciplinary team. Your key duties will include:
- Delivering long-term, evidence-based, trauma-informed psychological therapies and interventions to victim-survivors of family, domestic, and sexual violence and their families.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, including risk assessment using the MARAM Framework, and developing individualised recovery plans.
- Working collaboratively with intake officers, cultural workers, lived experience workers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated, wraparound care.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Participating actively in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Contributing to community engagement activities aimed at raising awareness and reducing stigma.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Creative/Play Therapy, or a related discipline.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA, AASW, or PACFA.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in delivering trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Experience and a comprehensive understanding of the family violence and-or mental health service systems.
- Training and competence in risk assessment and application of the MARAM Framework.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence, a Working with Children Check, and the right to work in Australia.
