Key Responsibilities

You will be a key player in our daily operations, with a diverse set of duties focused on safety and efficiency:

  • Safely operate all equipment for railcar and truck loading, unloading, washing, and drying.
  • Monitor and adjust processes using computerized control systems to meet production and quality standards.
  • Perform work in confined spaces under strict permit conditions and supervision.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment, and enter work orders into our maintenance computer system to address needs promptly.
  • Collect product samples from loaded tank cars and trucks to ensure quality control.
  • Follow all provincial, federal, and Cargill safety rules and regulations without exception.
  • Complete master sanitation schedule tasks and participate in mandatory safety and department meetings.
  • Troubleshoot minor operational issues and assist team members in other plant areas as needed to support overall facility goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following essential requirements:

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada, be 18 years or older, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding duties including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, working at heights (on top of railcars, elevated platforms), and working in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE.
  • Schedule: Must be willing and able to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Skills: Must have strong written and verbal English communication skills, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Must be computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and a demonstrated team player with a strong performance record in safety, attendance, and work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets):

  • Mobile equipment operation experience.
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Prior experience in a production or industrial work environment.
