Key Responsibilities
In these junior roles, you will be an integral part of our production process, with duties tailored to your position. Your core tasks will include:
- Performing general labouring duties to support the factory and machine shop operations, including preparing, loading, and organising timber and materials.
- Learning to safely operate a range of joinery machinery such as saws, sanders, and specialised joinery machines under supervision.
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping components to assist in the manufacturing of joinery items.
- Maintaining excellent workshop cleanliness and organisation in line with strict WHS requirements.
- Assisting with daily and weekly maintenance tasks and supporting inbound/outbound goods handling.
- Always adhering to all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures, contributing to our zero-harm culture.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn. You should have:
- A Safety-First Mindset:Â A strong, inherent focus on workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Practical Aptitude:Â An interest in using tools and machinery, or a keen desire to learn. Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Â Good physical fitness for manual tasks, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Essential Credentials: A current Driver’s Licence (manual preferred) and a White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain one immediately.
- Desirable:Â AÂ Forklift Licence (LF)Â or any prior manual handling training.
