Key Responsibilities

As a BAS Controls Technical Specialist III, you will be entrusted with high-level system integrity and performance. Your principal duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive inspections of facilities, machinery, and electronic systems to ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and performance standards.
  • Installing components and hardware, and performing system troubleshooting, tuning, and optimization for peak initial operation.
  • Diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on building automation systems, computers, and related electronic equipment.
  • Maintaining meticulous records and logs of all inspections, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Working on a diverse range of systems, including but not limited to VAV controls, INET, BACnet, LonWorks, fiber optics, electronic security, and telecommunications.
  • Programming and repairing equipment in shop environments as required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist with a strong foundational and practical electronics background. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience, formal electronics education, or a combination of both.
  • Mastery of electronics principles, theories, and practices.
  • Proven proficiency with VAV systems, INET Control, and BACnet/Lon BAS protocols.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and system diagrams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The physical ability to perform moderate to strenuous work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and in various weather conditions.

Strong Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With:

  • An associate’s degree or higher in an Electrical or Electronics field.
  • Expertise in Commercial HVAC Systems, Struxureware, and Niagara 4 platforms.
  • Experience with traffic control, safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
