Key Responsibilities
You will be a key operator in our remote logistics chain, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of resources.
- Safely operate MC-class vehicles and road trains (including C-Triples) on designated routes for the Jellinbah/Yarrabee project.
- Adhere strictly to all ‘Be Safe’ policies, fatigue management regulations, and load restraint guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-start checks and complete all necessary documentation and reporting with accuracy.
- Operate road ranger gearboxes and manage vehicle systems effectively in a remote, autonomous working environment.
- Represent Qube professionally at all times, maintaining clear communication with dispatch and site personnel.
- Commit to the 7-day on, 7-day off rotating roster, either as a DIDO or locally based driver.
Qualifications
This role requires specific licences and proven experience in heavy haulage.
- A current, unrestricted MC Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating road trains, with C-Triple experience highly preferred.
- Demonstrated road ranger operating experience and a solid understanding of load restraint regulations.
- Basic Fatigue Management Accreditation is essential.
- The ability to pass a Coal Board Medical and other pre-employment checks.
- A strong safety focus, the ability to work autonomously, and effective teamwork skills.
- A Standard 11 induction and side-tipping experience are advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.
