Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 4 tipper trucks safely and efficiently to transport construction materials, excavated soil, aggregates, and demolition debris between sites, quarries, disposal grounds, and project locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tires, brakes, lights, hydraulic systems, and general roadworthiness.
- Report any mechanical defects, damage, or maintenance requirements promptly to the transport supervisor.
- Ensure loads are properly secured, covered, and comply with all LTA and NEA regulations regarding vehicle weight limits and load containment.
- Navigate Singapore roads and construction sites professionally, adhering to all traffic laws and site safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project coordinators, and dispatch personnel regarding job status, delays, or issues encountered.
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle interior and exterior, representing the company professionally at all client sites.
- Complete trip documentation accurately, including delivery orders, time records, and any incident reports as required.
- Work on a trip basis, Monday to Saturday (7:00/8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), with optional Sunday shifts available.
- Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid Singapore Class 4 driving license held for a minimum of 3 years.
- Age between 24 and 68 years, inclusive, to comply with insurance policy terms and conditions.
- Currently residing in Singapore and legally authorized to work.
- Physically healthy and fit to perform the duties of a tipper truck driver, including climbing onto vehicle decks, securing loads, and working in active construction site environments.
- Clean driving record and familiarity with Singapore road networks, expressways, and industrial areas.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude toward customers, site personnel, and fellow drivers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience driving tipper trucks, dump trucks, or heavy goods vehicles in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with quarry operations, disposal grounds, and construction site entry procedures.
- Knowledge of LTA weight regulations, NEA load containment requirements, and WSHE construction safety practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage trip schedules effectively.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Saturday: Trip basis, typical operating hours 7:00/8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday: Optional shifts available.
- Earnings are trip-based; trip rates vary according to journey distance.
