We are looking for experienced senior Ceiling and Partition Installers to join our renovation team. You will install gypsum board ceilings, plaster ceilings, light partitions, and wall partitions across HDB, condominium, and commercial project sites in Singapore. This is not a helper or general worker role. You need to read simple drawings, take accurate measurements, and deliver good workmanship with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Install gypsum board ceilings, plaster ceilings, and decorative ceiling features according to project drawings and specifications.
- Construct light partition walls and wall partitions using metal stud framing and gypsum board, ensuring plumb, square, and stable installation.
- Read and interpret simple architectural drawings, taking accurate measurements and marking out layout positions on site.
- Cut, fit, and secure gypsum boards, ceiling tiles, and related materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing compounds to achieve smooth, seamless surfaces ready for painting or finishing.
- Coordinate with the renovation site team to ensure timely progress and resolution of interface issues with electrical, lighting, and other trades.
- Maintain good workmanship standards throughout installation, inspecting your own work for defects, gaps, or uneven surfaces.
- Keep the work site clean, organized, and free of debris at the end of each day.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while contributing to overall project timelines and quality objectives.
- Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven, hands-on experience in ceiling and partition works, including gypsum board installation, plaster ceiling, and metal stud partition systems.
- Familiarity with renovation project environments HDB, condominium, commercial and the specific requirements of each setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing your own tasks and delivering quality results.
Technical Skills:
- Competent in reading simple drawings and taking site measurements accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools common to the trade—cutters, screw guns, levels, chalk lines, and drywall tools.
- Understanding of proper jointing and finishing techniques for seamless drywall surfaces.
