Key Responsibilities

Laundry Duties

  • Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and finishing equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Sort, process, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, personal clothing, and facility textiles.
  • Inspect items for stains, damage, or excessive wear, setting aside those requiring special attention, repair, or replacement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of clean and soiled linens, communicating replenishment needs to supervisors.
  • Keep laundry work areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean, organized, and sanitary.

Cleaning Duties

  • Perform general cleaning duties throughout the facility, including floors, surfaces, fixtures, and common areas.
  • Empty waste receptacles and dispose of garbage in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supply closets in clean, safe, organized condition.
  • Follow all infection control and health safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and chemical handling procedures.
