What You Will Be Doing
- You will be diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of vehicles, both foreign and domestic, using state-of-the-art computer diagnostic systems.
- You will handle everything from oil changes and tire repairs to complex engine diagnostics, steering and suspension work, and heating and air conditioning services.
- You will perform brake repairs, muffler and exhaust services, and check engine light diagnostics with accuracy and efficiency.
- You will conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections, catching potential issues before they become problems for our customers.
- You will work independently on your assigned repairs, but you will also collaborate with the team when a complex job needs an extra set of experienced eyes.
- You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety and environmental standards without exception.
What We Are Looking For
- You have solid, proven experience as an automotive technician and can handle repairs independently using your own tools and equipment.
- You own a comprehensive set of personal tools; having your own diagnostic scanner is a strong plus.
- You have deep knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics.
- You are comfortable using shop equipment like lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and professional scan tools.
- You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets our insurance requirements.
- You hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or ASE certifications will definitely set you apart.
- You have any state-specific auto repair certifications required for working in Connecticut.
- You have a track record of high productivity without sacrificing quality or safety.
