Key Responsibilities
As a Bus Driver, you’ll play a vital role in connecting your community and providing safe, reliable transport.
- Drive urban, school, or charter services across the Ballina region and surrounding areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Operate buses safely and responsibly, following all road rules and company procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
- Uphold an uncompromising approach to safety at all times, protecting passengers, yourself, and other road users.
- Be available to work a variety of shifts as required, adapting to the needs of the service.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, customer-focused, and committed to safety. Whether you’re experienced or new to the industry, we want to hear from you.
Essential Requirements:
- A valid MR licence (or equivalent). If you don’t currently hold one, we can guide you through the process.
- Ability to obtain a Driver’s Accreditation before commencing work (we can help with this).
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Reliability and availability to work a variety of shifts.
- An uncompromising approach towards safety.
- Full working rights in Australia.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- A track record as a capable, qualified driver is always an advantage.
- Previous experience in bus, coach, or passenger transport.
Training and Development
New to the industry? No problem! Blanch’s Bus Company has in-house staff to train new drivers, and we welcome those who are enthusiastic about joining the industry. Better still, you’ll earn while you learn in our paid training programs. We’ll support you every step of the way, from obtaining your licence and accreditation to mastering the skills you need to succeed.
