About the Opportunity
This is a role for drivers who want to work independently while still having the support of a dispatch team that has your back. You’ll be responsible for transporting freight efficiently, maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations, and ensuring customer satisfaction with every delivery. If you have experience with different types of trailers reefer, flatbed, tanker, or otherwise and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
As an OTR Driver, your daily duties will include:
- Safely operating tractor-trailers with automatic transmission across designated OTR routes.
- Adhering to all federal and state transportation laws and company safety policies.
- Loading and unloading freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Transporting a variety of cargo, including refrigerated, flatbed, or other freight types.
- Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Following route schedules to ensure timely deliveries while managing route planning effectively.
- Communicating promptly with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Performing routine vehicle maintenance checks and reporting mechanical concerns immediately.
Qualifications
We’re looking for experienced drivers with a strong background in commercial driving and a clean record.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid CDL A license with proven truck driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial trucking and cargo handling.
- Ability to operate tractor-trailers safely across long distances.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions.
- Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
- Delivery driver experience in freight transportation.
- Familiarity with load and unload procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight.
Compensation
- Pay: $0.48 – $0.63 per mile
