Key Responsibilities
- Operate washing, drying, and dry-cleaning machines, including adding appropriate chemicals and maintaining lint traps.
- Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, and cleanliness; determine whether items need repair, rewash, spot treatment, or discarding.
- Set dryers according to fabric type, ensuring optimal cleaning and drying performance.
- Remove lint and debris from machines, filters, and drain traps after each cycle.
- Fold and organize laundered items by hand or using folding machines to meet hotel standards.
- Maintain accurate records of items laundered and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety and security procedures; report incidents, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to management.
- Stand, sit, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while respecting company policies and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet quality, productivity, and safety goals.
Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a laundry or hospitality environment is not required but is an asset.
- No formal education required; high school diploma or GED is not necessary.
- Ability to follow instructions, adhere to safety procedures, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
