What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely Operate Assigned Vehicles:Â You’ll drive transit vehicles along specified routes, transporting passengers to local destinations including medical appointments and scheduled stops.
- Stay on Schedule:Â Maintaining timeliness is essential. You’ll need to manage your route efficiently while prioritizing safety.
- Pick Up and Drop Off Passengers:Â Assist passengers as they board and exit, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Secure Wheelchair Passengers:Â You’ll be physically able to load, unload, and secure customers in wheelchairs as needed.
- Provide Friendly, Professional Service:Â You’re the face of public transit. A positive attitude and helpful manner make all the difference.
- Follow All Safety Protocols:Â Safety comes first for you, your passengers, and everyone on the road.
Schedule and Pay
- Hourly Pay:Â $18.00 per hour
- Schedule:Â Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays varying shifts and routes
- Job Types:Â Full-time and Part-time positions available
- Location:Â Salisbury, MD 21804
Requirements
- Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement:Â Required. You must hold a current CDL with P endorsement.
- Ability to Obtain DOT Physical:Â You’ll need to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Acceptable Driving Record:Â Your record should demonstrate safe driving habits over time.
- Physically Capable:Â You need to be able to load, unload, and secure passengers in wheelchairs.
