Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure installations meet required standards.
  • Spot hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
  •  Verify that all systems comply with safety regulations and perform as intended.
  • Inspect components for compliance with local, state, and international standards.
  •  Prepare inspection documentation and submit to Client as required.
  • Maintain clear communication with project leadership regarding inspection findings.

Job Requirements

  • Certification: Inspector shall be certified/registered by an independent third-party association, such as IECEx or COMPEX.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to work onboard vessels or in confined spaces.
  • Shift Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Electrical Experience: Previous experience as an electrician or in a related electrical field.
  • Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with construction processes and electrical installation practices.
  • Inspection Experience: Experience in conducting inspections and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Tools: Must be able to operate and maintain inspection tools including:

  • Voltmeter and Multimeter
  • Insulation resistance meter
  • Test pen
  • Portable Handheld flashlight
  • Inspection Mirror
  • Pocket tape-Measuring tape
  • PPE: Must provide and maintain own basic PPE (e.g., helmet, gloves, safety shoes, eye protection).

Working Hours and Salary

Working Hours:

  • Mon to Thurs: 0800 – 1715
  • Fri: 0800 – 1630
  • Sat: 0800 – 1130
  • Sun: 0800 – 1715
  • Salary Range: SGD $3,000 – $5,000 per month (commensurate with experience and certifications)
  • Employment Type: 12 Months Contract -Full-Time (options available)
  • Locations: Pioneer Yard, Tuas Yard, Benoi Yard, Tuas Boulevard Yard
