Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of laundry equipment, washing instructions, and cleaning methods to ensure optimal results.
- Demonstrate awareness of legislative requirements relevant to the position including Occupational Health & Safety, maintaining compliance at all times.
- Be responsive to the needs of residents by tailoring services to meet individual needs and preferences.
- Ensure efficient use of laundry materials and resources, minimizing waste while maintaining high standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all laundry operations.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and return linen and personal laundry accurately and promptly.
- Follow all infection control and hygiene standards to protect residents, staff, and visitors.
- Work efficiently and courteously, interacting positively with residents and colleagues.
- Work independently when required while also being a reliable team player.
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on quality care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with older people in a comparable setting is desirable.
- Demonstrated positive, courteous, and client-focused behaviour.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment, washing instructions, and cleaning methods.
