Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Fulfillment: Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation—production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off—to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment every time.
- Patient Experience:Â Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at every interaction. Offer immunizations and other services to keep patients healthy, and solve or escalate problems as needed.
- Inventory Management:Â Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership, including putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
- Team Contribution:Â Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset, being receptive to feedback, and actively seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
- Flexibility:Â Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores in the market to work shifts as needed. Support a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
- Compliance:Â Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards. Follow CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance compliance, and protection of patient privacy.
- Additional Services:Â Deliver additional patient healthcare services where allowable by law and supported by training, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing. For immunizations, this includes completing additional licensure, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies.
- Standard Operating Procedures:Â Live the company’s purpose by following all SOPs at each workstation, helping pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- If the state board does not mandate a minimum age, must be at least 16 years old.
- If the state board does not mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in a high school or equivalency program.
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

- Mathematical reasoning: use math to solve problems, such as determining tablet counts and day’s supply.

- Move fingers repetitively for tasks like typing and picking.

- Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; frequently lift up to 10 lbs; consistently lift negligible amount.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations as needed.
