Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update Traffic Guidance Schemes using RapidPlan, ensuring all plans meet VicRoads standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved Traffic Management Plans and identify any areas requiring adjustment or improvement.
  • Provide proactive solutions and value add recommendations to clients, helping to optimize traffic management strategies.
  • Collaborate with planning and delivery teams to meet contractual performance targets, ensuring seamless coordination across project phases.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, including the Department of Transport and local councils, to ensure smooth approvals and ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan certification as required, demonstrating thorough understanding of applicable standards.
  • Liaise with project teams to provide expert advice on traffic planning, management, and operations.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure all traffic management activities are aligned with the latest requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates must be able to prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan certification, which is mandatory. A minimum of three years of experience in traffic management for complex road construction projects is required. Current accreditation in one or more of the following is essential: Apply MoAs, Prepare Traffic Management Plans, Implement Traffic Guidance Schemes, Select and Modify Traffic Guidance Schemes, Design and Inspect Traffic Guidance Schemes, Advanced Worksite Traffic Management, or TMD 1 2 3 Traffic Management Designer Skill Set. Proficiency in RapidPlan is required. Strong stakeholder engagement and report writing skills are essential. A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement is important.
