Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment for water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring reliable performance and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct fault finding and provide technical support to engineers, clients, and production teams, helping to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Support minor works and capital installation projects, and participate in commissioning and decommissioning of assets and plants as required.
- Collaborate across disciplines to maintain continuous operation of critical infrastructure, fostering teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to budget management by ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.
- Promote best practices in safety, quality, and environmental management, upholding a positive, inclusive, and values driven workplace culture.
- Support apprentices and less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and contributing to their development.
Qualifications
A current driver’s licence is required. Experience in the water industry or a similar industry is desirable. Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA systems is essential. The ability to integrate with and cooperate as part of a multidisciplinary team is important. Candidates must be capable of inspection, testing, adjustment, and repairs of electrical equipment, with strong instrumentation and control fault finding ability. A National Licence to perform High Risk work is desirable. A willingness to upskill and undertake additional training for ongoing development is essential. Candidates must have a strong commitment to safety and quality.
