Key Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Electrician with Nightingale, you’ll immerse yourself in diverse electrical work while learning from seasoned professionals:
- Support journeymen in installing electrical systems across residential, commercial, and high-rise projects
- Master conduit installation, box placement, and rough-in wiring while following precise blueprints
- Develop troubleshooting skills and learn to maintain systems according to Canadian Electrical Code standards
- Participate in all project phases from initial concrete work to final fixture installation
- Maintain strict adherence to WorkSafe protocols and company safety procedures
- Adapt to various worksite conditions while demonstrating consistent attention to detail
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring both foundational knowledge and a growth mindset:
- Completion of Electrical Trade Schooling (any level from Pre-Apprentice to Level 8)
- Physical capability to handle demanding tasks and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and codes with strong problem-solving aptitude
- Reliable transportation to reach job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
- Collaborative spirit with the humility to ask questions and learn from experienced mentors
- Exceptional work ethic and commitment to safety and quality standards
