Key Responsibilities
You will be central to our production workflow, handling a diverse range of fabrication tasks with precision and care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Performing MIG welding operations on various metal components to produce clean, strong, and consistent welds that meet all specifications.
- Accurately reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and welding procedure specifications (WPS) to determine project requirements.
- Setting up and safely operating all welding equipment, including MIG welders, torches, and a full suite of hand and power tools.
- Fabricating metal parts from raw materials using press brake machines, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment.
- Completing related tasks as needed, such as machining, rigging, soldering, and pipe threading to support project completion.
- Rigorously following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Qualifications
We are seeking a reliable professional with the following skills and experience:
- Proven proficiency and hands-on experience with MIG (GMAW) welding techniques and processes is essential.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, diagrams, and welding specifications.
- Practical experience with fabrication equipment, including press brake machines, overhead cranes, and measurement tools.
- Solid foundational math skills for performing accurate measurements, calculations, and material estimations.
- Familiarity with soldering, pipe threading, and a knowledge of FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) are considered strong assets.
- A keen attention to detail, a commitment to producing quality work, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
