Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role within our supply chain, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks essential to our daily operations. Your key duties will include:

• Safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, store, and retrieve machinery parts and equipment.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and courier vehicles, ensuring all goods are handled correctly.
• Managing logistics by booking transport contractors and couriers for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Using the company dispatch vehicle to perform local pick-ups and deliveries as required.
• Accurately receiving, stocking, picking, and packing new and used parts according to internal requests and sales orders.
• Actively participating in scheduled stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Liaising effectively with our Sales, Engineering, and Workshop teams to coordinate parts requirements and ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

To excel in this contract position and contribute to our team’s success, you will need:

• A minimum of three years of proven experience in a stores or warehousing environment, with previous experience handling heavy machinery parts being highly advantageous.
• A valid forklift licence and demonstrated safe operating experience.
• A current, clean C-class driver’s licence.
• Strong systems orientation with an excellent working knowledge of warehouse practices, procedures, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good overall written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively both unsupervised and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• An unwavering commitment to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
