Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Site Foreman, you will be a key part of our on-site operations. Your core duties will be varied and essential, including:
- Performing general labouring tasks such as site preparation, excavation, trenching, and site clean-up.
- Assisting with the installation of drainage systems, pipelines, and other underground utilities.
- Supporting road construction activities, including tasks related to base preparation, asphalt, and aggregate materials.
- Helping to set up and maintain temporary site fencing, signage, and safety equipment.
- Operating and maintaining basic hand tools and construction equipment as required.
- Working collaboratively with the team to complete tasks efficiently and safely, following the Foreman’s instructions closely.
- Adhering strictly to all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who are ready for the physical demands and rewards of civil construction. To be successful, you will need:
- A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and excellent reliability.
- Physical fitness and the capability to perform manual labour and operate hand tools throughout the day.
- A valid Class C (car) driver’s licence and reliable personal transport to get to various site locations.
- A current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card).
- Full availability to work 5 to 6 days per week, with the flexibility to travel and work away on regional projects as required.
- While not essential, previous experience in civil construction, earthworks, or a related labouring role will be highly regarded.
