Key Responsibilities

As a professional flatbed driver with Roehl, your role is central to our operations and customer promises. Your core duties will include:

  • Safely operating a company-provided truck to transport freight across the lower 48 states and Canada.
  • Professionally securing a diverse range of flatbed cargo using the training and techniques we provide, ensuring safe delivery.
  • Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and load to maintain the highest safety standards.
  • Planning efficient routes while complying with all hours-of-service regulations and company policies.
  • Maintaining clear and timely communication with dispatch and customers regarding load status, delays, or issues.
  • Accurately completing all required electronic logging and shipment documentation.
  • Representing Roehl Transport with a professional demeanor at customer sites and during public interactions.

Qualifications

We value safety, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Here’s what we’re looking for in our next driver:

  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • A safe and clean driving record that meets our company standards.
  • The ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Willingness to learn and apply our cargo securement methods previous flatbed experience is not required.
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • The flexibility and stamina for regional OTR routes, typically being out for 11-14 days at a time.
