Key Responsibilities

In this high-travel field role, you will be central to maintaining and upgrading our pipeline infrastructure. Your primary duties will include:

  • Executing precision pipeline and structural welding to the highest standards, strictly following API 1104 and ASME codes.
  • Working on large-diameter pipe up to 42″ OD, performing critical in-service and tie-in welds under varied field conditions.
  • Traveling weekly to different job sites across the region, with all travel time compensated as part of your workweek.
  • Accurately reading and interpreting engineering schematics, blueprints, and isometric drawings to guide fabrication and repair work.
  • Adhering rigorously to all OSHA and DOT pipeline safety regulations, contributing to our zero-incident culture.
  • Providing skilled support to field crews on a range of operations including pigging, valve maintenance, recoating, and hydrostatic testing.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in demanding field environments. Required qualifications are:

  • Current API 1104 or ASME welding certification.
  • Demonstrable pipeline welding experience, specifically in field-based construction or maintenance (not fabrication shop only).
  • The ability and willingness to travel extensively up to 80% of the time working 10-12 hour shifts, Monday through Saturday.
  • Resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions and within confined spaces when necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license (a Commercial Driver’s License is a strong plus).
  • Must reside, or be willing to relocate by the start date, within a 60-mile radius of our Albany, NY reporting location.
