Key Responsibilities

In this detailed fabrication role, you will be essential to producing complex components for cryogenic systems. Your daily work will involve:

• Executing high-precision TIG and MIG welds, with a critical focus on producing vacuum leak-tight welds on aluminum assemblies.
• Performing intricate mechanical fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, drilling, and tapping to exact specifications.
• Accurately reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
• Safely operating industrial equipment including bridge cranes and forklift trucks to handle and move components.
• Meticulously following documented assembly procedures and completing all required quality and process sign-offs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who meets the following criteria:

• A minimum of one year of hands-on welding experience, accompanied by proficiency with standard mechanical assembly tools.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality TIG and MIG welds, with specific expertise in aluminum welding for vacuum-sealed applications.
• Experience in operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks is required.
• The ability to read, write, and follow complex technical documentation without error.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be able to meet the physical and cognitive requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• This is an onsite, second-shift role. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of our Latham, NY facility.
