Key Responsibilities

In this essential hands-on role, you will be directly involved in the careful processing of our live product. Your key duties will include:

  • Grading, packing, and handling live lobster according to strict quality and size specifications.
  • Assisting with the receiving of lobster and maintaining optimal water quality in holding systems.
  • Working efficiently within tight timeframes to prepare orders for export.
  • Performing general factory duties, including cleaning and maintenance, to ensure impeccable hygiene standards.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and food safety protocols with great diligence.

Qualifications

We are looking for a team player with the right attitude and physical capability. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A flexible and reliable nature, with the ability to work early morning starts (as early as 3 am), weekends, and public holidays as required by the season.
  • A strong work ethic, good initiative, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under time pressure.
  • Good physical fitness for manual tasks including lifting, moving, and handling heavy items.
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Previous experience in a process-oriented, assembly, or seafood role is advantageous, but full training will be provided for a candidate with the right mindset and reliability.
