Key Responsibilities

In this skilled artisan role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a jewellery piece. Your core duties will include:

Fabricating and assembling new jewellery from scratch using a variety of metals, gemstones, and materials, interpreting design specifications with accuracy.
Expertly repairing damaged, broken, or worn jewellery, restoring pieces to their original beauty and integrity.
Utilizing both traditional hand tools (for soldering, filing, shaping, finishing) and modern equipment such as laser welders and casting machines.
Maintaining impeccable quality control throughout every stage of production and repair.
Ensuring a clean, organised, and safe workspace.

Qualifications

This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record. The ideal candidate must possess:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in jewellery manufacturing (5-10 years is the target range).
Masterful proficiency in core techniques including soldering, filing, shaping, stone setting, and finishing.
In-depth knowledge of working with various metals (gold, silver, platinum) and gemstones.
An exceptional eye for detail, patience, and a steady hand for meticulous work.
Experience with both traditional bench techniques and modern equipment is essential.
Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate near our Toronto location (M6S 3P1).
