Key Responsibilities

In this skilled artisan role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a jewellery piece. Your core duties will include:

  • Fabricating and assembling new jewellery from scratch using a variety of metals, gemstones, and materials, interpreting design specifications with accuracy.
  • Expertly repairing damaged, broken, or worn jewellery, restoring pieces to their original beauty and integrity.
  • Utilizing both traditional hand tools (for soldering, filing, shaping, finishing) and modern equipment such as laser welders and casting machines.
  • Maintaining impeccable quality control throughout every stage of production and repair.
  • Ensuring a clean, organised, and safe workspace.

Qualifications

This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record. The ideal candidate must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in jewellery manufacturing (5-10 years is the target range).
  • Masterful proficiency in core techniques including soldering, filing, shaping, stone setting, and finishing.
  • In-depth knowledge of working with various metals (gold, silver, platinum) and gemstones.
