Key Responsibilities
As a Cake Decorator at 85°C Bakery Cafe, you will be an artist and a key contributor to our guest experience. Your primary duties will include:
- Expertly decorating a variety of cakes according to guest specifications and company standards, ensuring each creation is visually stunning and delicious.
- Providing exceptional, friendly service to guests, ensuring their cake experience is perfect from order to pick-up.
- Monitoring and managing cake inventory and supplies, alerting management to ordering needs to prevent shortages.
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in the decorating station and display cases.
- Assisting in training other team members on decorating techniques and standards, helping to build a skilled and cohesive team.
- Following all company policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and cost control.
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic, the ability to multitask during busy periods, and a thorough understanding of our brand’s culture and quality expectations.
Qualifications
We are looking for a talented individual with a proven track record. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 1 year of professional cake decorating experience (bakery experience is required).
- A creative eye for detail and a passion for producing beautiful, high-quality edible art.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, positive attitude.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to meet State of Hawaii TB test requirements and obtain a food safety handling certification.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 pounds.
