About Our Orchard

Your Role in the Orchard
Your work will be essential to our orchard’s operations throughout the season. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Hand harvesting apples with care to ensure fruit quality and minimize damage.
- Planting, cultivating, and irrigating apple crops as directed.
- Training and pruning apple trees to improve fruit yield and quality.
- Operating and assisting with orchard equipment such as farm trucks, tractors, and fruit harvesters.
- Using hand tools efficiently for various tasks including pruning, thinning, and maintenance.
- Sorting and gently handling harvested fruit, with attention to colour and quality distinctions.
- Working collaboratively with the team to meet daily harvest targets and tight seasonal deadlines.
Who We Are Looking For
We need team members who are physically prepared and mentally adaptable. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Ability to perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads, standing for long periods, bending, crouching, and working at heights on ladders.
- Must be a reliable team player, flexible with scheduling, and a quick learner who can follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between colours are crucial for sorting and harvesting quality fruit.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and in all outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, damp, dusty).
- Must be authorized to work in Canada. Prior farm or orchard experience is a strong asset but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
