Key Responsibilities

Your expertise will be utilized across a wide spectrum of essential farming activities. Your primary duties will involve:

  • Operating and maintaining our diverse fleet, which includes tractors, sprayers, combines, semi-trucks for transport, and various other implements to execute precision tillage, planting, application, harvesting, and hauling.
  • Managing comprehensive water control systems by laying irrigation pipe, operating and maintaining pivots and pumps, constructing and repairing levees, and meticulously monitoring field conditions to optimize crop hydration and drainage.
  • Performing detailed field maintenance and manual tasks, such as rouging fields, removing debris, mixing and loading chemicals, changing combine heads, welding, and ensuring all farm infrastructure—from fences to storage buildings—is kept in excellent condition.
  • Overseeing post-harvest grain handling at our facilities, including operating drying systems, transporting grain, managing augers and conveyors, monitoring moisture levels, and maintaining accurate records with scale tickets.
  • Adapting fluidly to daily changes dictated by crop stages, weather patterns, and operational priorities, demonstrating reliability and a proactive approach to all assigned general farm functions.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who bring both skill and a strong work ethic to the field. The right fit will have:

  • Substantial, verifiable experience operating and performing basic maintenance on heavy farm equipment (e.g., tractors, combines, sprayers) and preferably, experience with semi-trucks for grain transport.
  • Hands-on knowledge of farm irrigation systems, water management, and basic construction or maintenance of levees and water control structures.
  • The physical capability and willingness to perform strenuous manual labor in various outdoor conditions, including lifting, shoveling, and detailed hand-tool work.
  • A strong focus on safety protocols, especially concerning chemical handling, equipment operation, and grain facility procedures.
  • The flexibility to switch tasks and locations throughout the day and a dependable, team-oriented attitude.
  • A valid driver’s license is required. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or relevant machinery certifications are a significant advantage.
