Key Responsibilities
Your role will be central to our daily and seasonal operations. Key tasks will include:
- Operating machinery for cutting, baling, hauling, and stacking hay.
- Cutting and packing silage, and spreading fertilizer such as chicken manure on fields.
- Loading and unloading crops and materials, requiring repeated lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Performing minor maintenance and repairs on farm vehicles, implements, and structures like fences and greenhouses.
- Operating farm trucks to haul crops and transport workers between fields (a valid driver’s licence is required for this duty).
- Overseeing and directing seasonal help during peak planting and harvesting times.
- Maintaining farm sanitation by mowing, trimming, and cleaning fields and sheds.
Qualifications
This position has strict requirements. You must:
- Provide verifiable proof of at least three months of prior farm work experience in the specific crop activities listed.
- Commit to working the full contract period from March 1st to December 31st, 2026.
- Be physically capable of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and repetitively lifting 75 lbs to shoulder height in field conditions.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and comply with all farm safety and conduct policies.
- Possess a valid U.S. driver’s licence or foreign equivalent if required to operate company vehicles.
- Agree to post-hire and random drug/alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
- Be reliable, not hinder the productivity of others, and limit personal cell phone use to emergencies during work hours.
Benefits and Perks
This is a seasonal-temporary position offering consistent work for the duration of the contract. Wages will be commensurate with experience and the demanding nature of the work.
