Key Responsibilities
As a Chef de Partie, you will oversee a critical section of our galley operations. Your leadership will be essential in:
- Guaranteeing exceptional product quality through daily tasting panels, meticulous inspections of mise en place, and strict adherence to picture-perfect presentation standards.
- Supervising and instructing your team to maintain efficient, high-standard food production while minimizing waste and controlling costs through batch cooking and portion control.
- Ensuring full compliance with all public health standards, including USPH/HACCP protocols, and accurately maintaining temperature and production logs.
- Conducting daily briefings and team meetings to communicate menu details, production schedules, and upcoming events clearly and effectively.
- Continuously training and developing your multicultural team in culinary techniques, recipe knowledge, and safe food handling practices.
Qualifications
We seek a culinary professional with a proven track record of leadership and precision. The ideal candidate will offer:
- A minimum of five years of culinary experience, including at least two years in a Demi Chef de Partie or similar supervisory role within a high-volume hotel, resort, or cruise ship environment.
- Cruise ship experience is a significant advantage.
- Deep expertise in Western/Continental cuisine and a comprehensive understanding of international culinary styles.
- A formal qualification in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution.
- Strong proficiency in English (both verbal and written), excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse, multicultural team.
- Solid practical knowledge of MS Office and related galley management software.
