Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you will be essential to delivering the renowned VIA Rail experience. Your core duties will include:

  • Providing a warm, professional welcome and ongoing assistance to all passengers throughout their journey.
  • Ensuring passenger safety and comfort, which includes helping with luggage and serving meals and beverages, including alcohol service.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in your assigned work areas, including restrooms and service carts.
  • Adapting to the unique needs of each trip, where every day presents new opportunities to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

We are looking for friendly, resilient individuals who are ready for a rewarding challenge. To join our team, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and a minimum of one year of customer service experience.
  • Clear verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • The physical ability to safely handle luggage weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and be on-call.
  • A willingness to travel for multi-day trips, typically 2-3 days at a time, away from home.
