Key Responsibilities
As a Casual Cleaner, you’ll play an integral role in maintaining the high standards of hygiene and safety that our healthcare environment demands.
- Perform cleaning duties according to established protocols and duty lists across various hospital areas.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment safely and effectively, following all training guidelines.
- Maintain a respectful and courteous approach when interacting with patients, whānau, and colleagues.
- Adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations within the busy hospital setting.
- Complete all mandatory training sessions, including operating floor care machinery as required.
Qualifications
We’re looking for individuals who bring the right attitude and commitment to this important role.
- Excellent customer service skills and a respectful, courteous demeanor.
- Good command of verbal and written English.
- Reliability and availability to pick up shifts at short notice.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic hospital environment.
- Motivation to engage in required training and follow safety protocols meticulously.
- Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential—we value attitude and willingness to learn.
