Key Responsibilities

As a Co-Manager, you will be instrumental in leading the store to achieve its goals. Your essential duties include:

  • Assisting the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training a high-caliber sales team that embodies the Journeys culture.
  • Driving store performance by meeting and exceeding sales goals through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Supervising all aspects of daily store operations and loss prevention in the Store Manager’s absence.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service by resolving issues and providing a fun, full-service shopping experience.
  • Effectively communicating store needs and results to management and ensuring all company initiatives are implemented to standard.
  • Identifying and developing talented staff for growth within the company.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 6-12 months of retail sales experience; prior retail management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills.
  • A strong desire to succeed and a willingness to learn in a dynamic retail environment.
  • The ability to work 45 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical capability to climb, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of all Journeys training programs leading to the Co-Manager position or equivalent experience.
