Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Bakery Manager, you will be a key contributor to our daily success. Your role will encompass:
- Utilising your technical baking knowledge to expertly weigh, mix, deposit, roll, and laminate a variety of pastry doughs and cake batters to exact specifications.
- Operating and monitoring baking equipment to produce appetising, high-quality pastry goods and cakes consistently.
- Taking initiative to ensure the department runs smoothly, assisting in meeting and exceeding production targets and quality benchmarks.
- Maintaining the highest standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and workspace organisation.
- Contributing positively to team dynamics, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to enhance overall department efficiency.
- Accurately completing production documentation and applying strong numeracy skills to recipe scaling and inventory tasks.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who combines technical skill with a proactive mindset. The ideal baker will have:
- Proven experience and a solid understanding of the technology and processes involved in commercial baking, particularly with pastry and cakes.
