Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the backbone of our hospital’s hygiene and safety. Your day will be dynamic and impactful, with duties that include:

  • Performing a wide range of cleaning tasks across different hospital areas, following detailed duty lists and safety protocols to the letter.
  • Using specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively to maintain the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Working respectfully and discreetly around patients, visitors, and clinical staff, always upholding their privacy and comfort.
  • Adapting quickly to the changing needs of a busy hospital environment, including responding to spills and other urgent cleaning requests.
  • Taking pride in your work, ensuring every surface you clean contributes to a safer healing environment for everyone.

Qualifications

We are looking for reliable and motivated team players. While previous cleaning experience is beneficial, a positive attitude and strong work ethic are most important.

We need someone who:

  • Is truly reliable and available to pick up casual shifts, often at short notice.
  • Has excellent customer service skills and a respectful, courteous manner.
  • Can understand and follow instructions in English, both verbal and written, to ensure safety.
  • Is motivated to learn and will actively participate in mandatory training, including how to operate floor care machinery.
  • Is flexible and can adapt calmly to the unexpected in a fast-paced hospital setting.
