Are you a nurturing and responsible individual with a passion for childcare? A family is seeking a dedicated Live-in or Live-out Nanny to provide comprehensive care for their infant/young children in their home. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, attentive, and wants to play a key role in a child’s early development. With optional live-in accommodation available, this position offers a wonderful opportunity to build a close, trusting relationship with a family.

Company Overview

The employer is a private family looking for a reliable and caring professional to become an integral part of their daily lives. They value safety, consistency, and a loving environment for their children. They seek a nanny who will uphold their parenting values, contribute to a happy home, and work collaboratively with them to support their children’s growth and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

You will be entrusted with the full scope of daily childcare and household support related to the children. Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing attentive, loving care for infants and young children, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and diaper changing.
  • Preparing sterilized bottles, formulas, and nutritious meals and snacks suitable for the children’s ages.
  • Supervising and engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and instructing them in personal hygiene and social skills.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home, performing light housekeeping duties related to the children.
  • Assuming full responsibility for the household and children in the parents’ absence.
  • Transporting children to and from school, appointments, and activities, and tending to their emotional well-being.
  • Following the parents’ requested methods for discipline and daily routines.

Qualifications

This role requires specific certifications, a clean background, and a genuine love for children. The successful candidate must have:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • A valid CPR Certificate (specifically for infants/children is preferred).
  • 1 to 7 months of direct childcare experience (experience with infants is highly valuable).
  • The ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • The physical capability to handle loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks with great attention to detail.
  • Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis. This is NOT a condition of employment.

You must be willing to answer screening questions regarding your work authorization, relocation willingness, relevant experience, certifications, proximity to the job location, and language proficiency.
