Key Responsibilities

In this important role, you will be responsible for the afternoon cleaning and presentation of the school facilities. Your duties will include:

• Performing a range of general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Cleaning and restocking student and staff bathrooms, ensuring they are hygienic and fully supplied.
• Emptying bins and removing rubbish from designated areas.
• Following specific cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain a high standard throughout the school.
• Adhering to all school safety protocols and reporting any maintenance issues or hazards.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful and ensure the safety of the school environment, you must meet the following essential criteria:

• A valid Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is mandatory.
• A current driver’s licence and reliable personal transport are required.
• Proven previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school, commercial, or large facility setting.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
