Key Responsibilities
As a Demolition Labourer with KPI, you will be deployed to various sites to perform critical, high-skill tasks. Your duties will involve:
- Safely performing a range of demolition activities, including strip-outs, structural dismantling, concrete cutting/breaking, and oxy cutting.
- Competently using a variety of power tools, jackhammers, and specialized equipment in accordance with all safety procedures.
- Applying your high-risk work tickets on-site (e.g., operating EWPs, dogging/rigging, operating excavators or posi-tracks for demolition).
- Working collaboratively within a crew, following site-specific instructions and Safe Work Method Statements meticulously.
- Maintaining a strict focus on safety at all times, identifying and mitigating risks in a high-hazard environment.
Qualifications
This role demands specific, non-negotiable qualifications and a proven track record. You must possess:
- A current Construction White Card (mandatory).
- Proven, hands-on experience in strip-outs, structural dismantling, concrete work, and the use of demolition power tools.
- A current Driver’s Licence and own reliable transport to get to various Sydney sites.
- Australian Permanent Residency.
- A dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused attitude.
- The ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively on-site.
Strong Advantages (High-Risk Tickets):
Possession of valid, current high-risk work licences will significantly enhance your opportunities. These include:
- EWP under over 11m
- Dogging and or Rigging tickets
- Fit Mask Testing
- Class A (Friable) or Class B (Non-Friable) Asbestos Removal Licence
- Excavator or Posi Track tickets (with demolition experience)
