Key Responsibilities

Site Inspection of Electrical and Mechanical Services:

Conduct comprehensive and technically rigorous site inspections of all electrical and mechanical services works and installations across the assigned construction project, ensuring every aspect of the E&M services installation is carried out in full compliance with the approved drawings, specifications, contract documents, and all applicable Hong Kong statutory and regulatory requirements governing electrical and mechanical engineering work in the construction environment
Inspect all stages of E&M services installation work including but not limited to electrical distribution systems, lighting installations, power supply systems, earthing and bonding works, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems, fire services installations, plumbing and drainage systems, and any other electrical or mechanical building services forming part of the project scope, applying ten or more years of site inspection expertise to every assessment conducted throughout the contract period
Identify, document, and formally report all non-conformances, defects, installation deviations, and quality issues observed during site inspections, communicating findings clearly and professionally to the relevant contractors, site supervisors, and project management team members through the correct reporting channels and following up to verify that all identified issues are rectified to the required standard before sign-off proceeds

Process and manage inspection documentation in both English and Chinese as required by the project’s document management requirements and the bilingual communication standards applicable to Hong Kong construction project administration

Work Progress Monitoring:

Monitor the on-site work progress of all electrical and mechanical services installations against the approved programme schedule, identifying any delays, bottlenecks, resource shortfalls, or sequencing conflicts that may impact the E&M installation programme and reporting these to the project manager and relevant parties with sufficient lead time for corrective action to be taken
Coordinate with E&M subcontractors, main contractor site teams, and other building services disciplines to facilitate smooth and correctly sequenced installation progress across all E&M systems, minimizing interface conflicts and ensuring the E&M works proceed in alignment with the overall construction programme
Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and progress review meetings as required, contributing technically informed and accurately documented E&M inspection and progress input to the meeting agenda and follow-up action items

Qualifications
