Key Responsibilities

As an EVS (Environmental Services) Technician, you will be responsible for the meticulous cleaning and disinfection of a healthcare facility. Your duties must be performed with precision, following strict infection-control protocols:

  • Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all clinical and common areas, including exam rooms, waiting areas, imaging rooms, and restrooms.
  • Properly sanitizing all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, counters, and medical equipment.
  • Restocking all paper products, soap, and supplies in restrooms and common areas.
  • Removing all trash and replacing liners, then sweeping and mopping floors using approved microfiber systems.
  • Wiping all flat surfaces and touch points to a streak-free, sanitized finish.
  • Following detailed daily, weekly, and monthly deep-cleaning schedules.
  • Ensuring the facility is secure by locking doors and turning off lights upon completion of your shift.

Qualifications

This role requires specific experience and a professional, dependable attitude. The mandatory requirements are:

  • A minimum of 1 year of commercial or medical-facility cleaning experience.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and medical cleaning protocols.
  • The ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at the building by 5:00 PM daily, working until approximately 8:00–8:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • A dependable, detail-oriented, and professional work ethic.

Strongly Preferred:

  • A Blood-borne Pathogen certification (training may be available for the right candidate).
