Your Role in Advancing Science for Life
As a Production Associate specializing in extrusion processes, you will be responsible for building high-quality medical device components in a clean, controlled environment. Your key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring extrusion equipment to produce precision medical components, adhering to strict process specifications.
- Following all certified manufacturing processes and safety protocols to meet daily production goals and quality metrics.
- Performing accurate data entry and maintaining detailed records in systems such as SAP, Shop Floor Paperwork (SFP), and training logs.
- Conducting quality inspections using measurement equipment and interpreting Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts to ensure tight tolerances are met.
- Learning to set up equipment for production runs and performing basic troubleshooting on extrusion machinery.
- Actively participating in team meetings and cross-functional focus groups to drive continuous improvement (CI) and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Completing all required core training (e.g., QS Basics, Lean, Extrusion 101) and following all Boston Scientific and site-specific policies without exception.
QualificationsÂ
Required Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or related industrial environment.
- A moderate mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn how to set up equipment.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and following detailed procedures.
- Willingness to work effectively within a team, flex responsibilities as needed, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to work an assigned shift (see below) onsite, five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous machine operation experience, preferably in extrusion, plastics, or medical device manufacturing.
- A mechanically-minded approach with an interest in troubleshooting.
- Basic familiarity with computer systems for data entry.
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM
