This is a hands-on, permanent role where you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and running printing machinery in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities

In this key operational role, you will oversee the press run from setup to completion. Your primary duties will include:

• Reviewing job orders to determine specifications such as colour sequence, quantities, and production requirements, and communicating these to the press crew.
• Setting up the press, checking samples for ink coverage, alignment, and registration to ensure quality from the start.
• Monitoring press runs for consistency and quality, making precise adjustments to machinery as needed.
• Performing basic mathematical calculations and accurately reading a tape measure.
• Directing the activities of the press crew and ensuring all safety procedures are strictly followed.
• Maintaining a clean, organised work area and assisting with lifting, loading materials, and cleaning plates/cylinders at the end of a run.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable professional with practical experience. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a factory worker, preferably with 1 year of experience in a mechanical assembly or machine operation role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Leadership skills to effectively direct a small crew.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
